Instructions on PEDG 2018 Final Paper Preparation

Paper Format
The final paper has to be in the IEEE two-column format for conference proceedings with a maximum of eight pages, and it should be submitted on the PEDG 2018 Dashboard. You may find the manuscript templates at IEEE's page at

Copyright Notice
The appropriate copyright clearance code notice is to appear on the bottom of the first page of each paper:

For papers in which all authors are employed by the US government, the copyright notice is: U.S. Government work not protected by U.S. copyright

For papers in which all authors are employed by a Crown government (UK, Canada, and Australia), the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-6705-7/18/$31.00 ©2018 Crown

For all other papers the copyright notice is: 978-1-5386-6705-7/18/$31.00 ©2018 IEEE

PDF Express
You are required to use PDF Express to prepare the IEEE Xplore compliant version of your PDF. Failure to submit files which are compliant may result in your paper not appearing on IEEE Xplore.

Access the PDF Express site at https://www.pdf-express.org/ . First-time users should do the following:

  1. Select the New Users - Click Here link.
  2. Enter the following:
    • 42577X for the Conference ID
    • Your email address
    • A password
    • Continue to enter information as prompted. 

An Online confirmation will be displayed, and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup. Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

eCopyright Form
Each submitted paper should have one eCopyright form submitted (one form per paper, not author) in order for the paper to be published by IEEE. Instructions on completing the eCopyright form will be sent out later, after you have submitted the final paper. Failure to submit an eCopyright form will also result in your paper not appearing on IEEE Xplore.

IEEE Cross Check
IEEE policy requires that all accepted papers must be checked for plagiarism. Papers found to contain plagiarized material will not be accepted for publication.
